14 dead, 36 injured in bus crash in India

HASIYASAR, India, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- At least 14 people were killed and 36 others were injured Thursday when a bus collided with a truck in India's Rajasthan state, police said.

The collision occurred around 3 a.m. near Hasiyasar village, the Indo-Asian News Service reported.

"The private bus was carrying over 50 passengers. It lost control and rammed into the truck coming from the opposite direction," a police officer said.

At least 10 people died at the scene, while four others died after being transported to a hospital.
