BEERSHEBA, Israel, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Looters broke into a kitchen-design store in Beersheba, Israel, while the city was being attacked with rockets, officials said.

Thieves smashed the store's front window and made off with two television sets Thursday night, Ynetnews reported..

"Even theft has its time and place and this isn't the time to steal," the store's manager, Eliezer Weiss said. "We have lost our sensitivity, our humanity."

The store was equipped with an alarm system but it went off as air red sirens sounded, causing confusion.

"When I reached the store I was simply shocked, the store window was smashed. I just can't believe someone would actually exploit this situation to rob the store," Weiss said.
