Iran rescue helicopter crash kills 10

MASHHAD, Iran, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- A helicopter crash in Iran killed 10 people, including five being transported to a hospital after a road accident, an emergency services manager said.

The helicopter was traveling to Taleqani Hospital in the city of Mashhad, 750 kilometers (525 miles) east of Tehran, when it crashed, Mashhad University of Medical Science emergency and medical care manager Reza Vafaee-Nejad said, adding that a medical technician, four flight attendants and the five injured in the accident were on board.

Nine were killed instantly, the 10th dying at the hospital, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported Wednesday.
