Fiery Myanmar fuel-train wreck kills 25

KANTBALU, Myanmar, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A fuel train derailed, crashed and caught fire in central Myanmar Friday, killing at least 25 people and injuring more than 60, officials said.

Tanker cars that ran off the tracks burst into flames on a line between central Mandalay and Myiktyina in the city of Kantbalu, the BBC reported.

Government officials said at least 62 people were injured.

Residents in the area were said to be attempting to contain the fuel spill.

Photos from the scene show burned-out train cars and charred bodies.
