Bathroom collapse kills 4, injures 12

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Four people died when the floor of a public restroom in Kyrgyzstan collapsed, officials said.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon at the biggest market of southern Kyrgyzstas, RIA Novosti reported.

"Four bodies were found -- three women and a man," emergencies ministry spokesman Abdysharip Bekelov said Sunday.

Some 12 survivors were pulled from the rubble, five of whom remain hospitalized in stable condition.

The cause of the collapse in unknown.
