Sudan calls for security committee meeting

KHARTOUM, Sudan, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Sudan's foreign minister called for a meeting to discuss the alleged presence of soldiers from South Sudan in disputed territory.

Foreign Minister Ali Karti issued the demand for a session of the joint security committee overseeing the touchy border area, the Sudan Tribune said Saturday.

A committee meeting on the subject has been in the works since September but has been delayed repeatedly to give South Sudan time to redeploy its troops.
