MOSCOW, Oct. 30 (UPI) --
A Russian attack aircraft crashed during a training flight but both pilots managed to parachute out beforehand, a defense ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
Yaroslav Roshchupkin told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti the Sukhoi Su-24 aircraft went down in the Chelyabinsk Region some 41 miles from the airfield.
Search and rescue teams have been sent to the scene, he said.
