HAIKI, Japan, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- A U.S. sailor was found dead at a Japanese train station, police said Monday.
The sailor, identified as Petty Officer 2nd Class Samuel Lewis Stiles, was found on the platform at Haiki Station in Nagasaki prefecture at 5 a.m. Sunday, CNN reported.
Stiles was in civilian clothes and had no personal belongings with him, Haiki police said.
The sailor's death was being investigated as either an accident or a crime, police said.
