COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- A man arrested after allegedly breaking into a woman's apartment had threatened to rape her but fled when she told him she had herpes, police in Denmark said.

The victim in Copenhagen, whose name was not reported, told police she awoke to find the man in her bedroom, pointing a revolver at her, The Copenhagen Post reported Monday.

The man undressed, got into the woman's bed, told her to do as he said, began to molest her, then jumped from the bed, dressed and fled after she told him she had herpes, investigators said.

The name of the suspect was not reported.

Police said the woman's accurate description of her attacker led to the man's arrest.
