NOTTINGHAM, England, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Teachers at a British primary school are accused of allowing two 4-year-old girls to watch pornography on a school trip, investigators said.
Burton Joyce Primary School in Nottingham has had its bid to become an academy shelved while officials look into the allegation and similar charges children at the school aren't properly monitored. The trip in question took place last spring, the Nottingham Post reported Monday, and were staying in a dormitory with televisions that included adult stations.
"I do not believe that child protection measures at the school have been rigorous enough," said Eric Ashworth, a member of the school's board of governors.
School officials have also come under fire for not properly documenting school meetings and the academy application process, the newspaper reported.
