BEIRUT, Lebanon, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Former Lebanese President Amin Gemayel urged Hezbollah and other parties to keep out of intervention in Syria.
Gemayel, head of the Kataeb Party, told al-Hayat newspaper his "biggest fear" is that Hezbollah would attempt to intervene on the side of those loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad, The Daily Star reported. He said Hezbollah's current involvement in Syria appears to remain on a small scale.
"I warn all parties of such intervention and the need for restraint for Lebanon's sake," Gemayel said.
