April Jones disappeared Oct. 1 after she was seen getting into a car near her home
Dyfed and Powys police are treating the investigation as a murder case.
Family friend, Mark Bridger, 46, has been formally charged with murder, child abduction and perverting the course of justice in her disappearance. Bridger, a former construction and slaughterhouse worker, had a former girlfriend who lived near the Jones family. He took April on a crabbing expedition with two of his children in August.
Police sealed off an unused quarry half a mile from Bridger's farmhouse in Ceinws, 5 miles away from where April lived with her family, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday. Police described the area as a crime scene.
Locals told The Daily Telegraph the quarry is dangerous and has three mine shafts and several ventilation shafts.
