JERUSALEM, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Vandals spray painted graffiti on the door of a Christian monastery in the ancient section of Jerusalem early Tuesday, Israeli police said.
It was the latest in a string of "price tag" attacks against Christian religious buildings in Israel, The Jerusalem Post reported.
A priest at the Franciscan Convent next to the Dormition Abbey church notified police early Tuesday graffiti was spray-painted on the convent's door.
"Price tag," "Jesus is a son of a bitch" and other anti-Christian slogans were sprayed on the monastery, located on Mount Zion, the Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.
In September, suspected right-wing vandals spray-painted "Jesus is a monkey" in orange letters on the outside of the Latrun monastery and burned the wooden entrance door.
In February slogans such as "Jesus drop dead" and "Death to Christians" were painted on two churches, including a stone fence at the Valley of the Cross Monastery.
