Chef killed over meal in Germany

ROME, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Author Shlomo Venezia, one of Italy's last Holocaust survivors, died at the age of 89, officials in Rome said.
Venezia, who was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, died Sunday night, ANSA reported.
His book, "SonderKommando 182727," which has been translated into 24 languages, detailed his experiences after being sent to Auschwitz in 1944.
Rome officials said they sent their condolences to Venezia's relatives.
