Russia wants quick six-party Iran talks

Sept. 28, 2012 at 3:33 PM   |   Comments

MOSCOW, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry believes the next round of six-party talks on Iran should be in October, a spokesman said Friday.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov also said the ministry hopes elections in the United States and Iran won't affect negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, RIA Novosti reported.

"We believe it is necessary to agree on the time and venue of the next round," Ryabkov said, saying the meeting should be in October.
