MOSCOW, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Moscow police said they were looking into criminal charges in a traffic accident that killed seven people at a bus stop Saturday.

A speeding Toyota sedan went out of control and slammed into a bus stop on the city's southwest side.

Four people were injured in the crash and three children were among the fatalities.

The Moscow Times said the 30-year-old driver was apparently drunk.

The newspaper said the tragedy occurred on World Car-Free Day, an annual event aimed at getting more people to take the bus or other forms of public transit.
