JERUSALEM, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- An Israeli search-and-rescue team said it recovered the body of a German tour guide who collapsed and died while leading a hike in the Judean Desert.

The man, identified only as being in his 50s, apparently suffered a heart attack Saturday in the Nachal Bokek area of the desert.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ynetnews.com said the death came about a month after an Israeli woman passed out and died during a hike in the Golan Heights.
