Israel hits Hamas camp after rocket strike

JERUSALEM, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Israeli military jets fired on a Hamas training camp in Gaza but did not hurt anyone, military officials said.

The weekend airstrike was in response to four missiles fired into southern Israel earlier, the Ma'an News Agency reported.

The Hamas missiles did not cause any damage or injuries, an Israeli army spokesman said.

The Israeli warplanes fired two missiles into the al-Qassam Brigades grounds.

The camp is considered a center of terrorist activity by the Israeli military, The Jerusalem Post reported.

Two women were injured by an Israeli attack Wednesday on two compounds in Gaza City.

Visiting a home in Sderot damaged in a rocket attack, Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter said during the weekend Israel would have to alter its policies in order to develop a "complete deterrence strategy to stop the terrorism."

In retaliation for the rocket strike in Sderot, Israeli hit two camps in Gaza Friday night.
