Eyal Lerner got sick from drinking a poison-laced bottle of juice and was hospitalized in serious condition, Ynetnews said. His wife, Yifat, and toddler son also became ill and exhibited symptoms of poisoning.

Police investigator Ilana Kosinovesko said Nasaara told them he poisoned the family because he "hates Jews."

The identity of the police volunteer, who was also poisoned, was not reported.

Police also arrested Hassan Abd el-Rahim, 27, who denied involvement in the case, and another suspect whose name was not reported, Ynet said.

The three were arraigned before the Kfar Saba Magistrate's Court Sunday and charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit a crime and burglary, Ynetnews.com reported.
