NORWICH, England, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- The son of a radical Islamic cleric fighting extradition from Britain was convicted Thursday of robbing a Norfolk jewelry store at gunpoint.

Imran Mostafa, 20, from the London suburb of Slough, was tried with a 17-year-old in Norwich Crown Court, The Independent reported. But Judge Peter Jacobs barred reporters from identifying him as the son of Abu Hamza until after the verdicts.

Investigators said Mostafa, Jonathon Abdul and two other young men who pleaded guilty stole $120,000 worth of jewelry from the store in King's Lynn on Jan. 31. Sentencing for the four was postponed.

Abu Hamza has appealed to the European Court of Human Rights an extradition order that would send him to the United States.
