JERUSALEM, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Israel's defense minister said Friday that Israel needs to develop a better missile-deterrence strategy against rockets fired from Gaza.
Defense Minister Avi Dichter's comments came after a home in Sderot was hit by a missile from Gaza Friday, The Jerusalem Post reported.
The house was damaged and one person suffered shock from the attack.
An Israeli military spokesman said about 450 rockets have been launched at Israel from Gaza this year.
Israel must devise a "complete deterrence strategy to stop the terror," Dichter said.
