VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Flooding caused by heavy rain has destroyed a power line and at least 10 bridges in Primorye Territory in eastern Russia, officials said Friday.

Mountain rivers overflowing their banks have also clogged bridge underpasses and are washing out roads and bridge supports, administrators of the Partizansky District of the Territory reported.

District head Konstantin Shcherbakov is assessing damage, the Russian news agency ITAR-Tass said Friday.
