NEWPORT, Wales, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Prosecutors in Wales said a National Health Service doctor being tried for faking sick to get time off had tweeted that she was moonlighting for "megabucks."
The Newport Crown Court jury heard Dr. Lucy Dawson, 45, took sick leave from the Royal Gwent hospital in Newport, Wales, by claiming to be "too stressed" to work, but secretly took on shifts at other hospitals to make extra money from the National Health Service, The Sun reported Tuesday.
Prosecutors said Dawson's bosses found out about the scheme from her Twitter account, where she posted about the "megabucks" she was making from moonlighting.
Dawson is charged with two counts of fraud by failing to disclose information. The trial is ongoing.
