RAFAH, Israel, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- The Israeli Air Force attacked a terrorist target in the southern Gaza Strip, killing one man and injuring another, military officials said.

Palestinian sources, whose names were not reported, said the two men were members of the Popular Resistance Committees, which planned terror attacks on the Israeli-Egypt border, Ynetnews.com reported. Israeli military officials said the men were involved in the global jihadist movement.

The attack took place while the two men were riding a motorcycle Sunday in the Tel Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, the news Web site reported.

The man killed in the attack was 19-year-old Nadi Okhal. The injured man, 22-year-old Ahmad Said Ismail, allegedly participated in a terrorist attack in June at the Israeli-Egypt border, which killed an Israeli citizen, Ynetnews.com reported.
