
KRASNOYARSK, Russia, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A drunken Siberian man threw a hand grenade at pedestrians, injuring five, officials said.
The incident began Saturday evening when the man was drinking in a courtyard of an apartment building in Krasnoyarsk with two of his friends, RIA Novosti reported.
A group of five pedestrians walked by and scolded the men drinking and hit one of them, the report said.
"A group of five people passing by gave them a rebuke. The groups stroked up the war of words, during which a young man hit one of the drunken men. After that the drunken group left the yard," police said.
The three men then went inside, but came back out shortly after with a grenade, which one of them threw at the pedestrians, ITAR-Tass reported.
The explosion injured four men and a woman, as well as shattered five windows and damaged two cars, police said.
Police are currently looking for the three men, identified as Andrei Kirillov, Gleb Ksenofontov and Denist Tolstikhin.
