MONTEREY, Mexico, July 30 (UPI) -- A leading Mexican newspaper was set on fire by two masked men who poured gasoline throughout the office after forcing their way inside.

It was the second such attack on the paper this month.

The men threatened a security guard to get into the Sierra Madre office of El Norte newspaper in Monterey Sunday, CNN reported.

None of the 15 people in the office was injured. The amount of damage to the office was not known.

The newspaper was also attacked July 10.

No group claimed responsibility for the incident. Journalists have been a target of drug cartels since the government declared war on the cartels, resulting in the deaths of 70 people who worked in the media since 2000.

Grupo Reforma, which owns the newspaper, sent a message to its employees after the attack, supporting its staff, whom it called "those who, with bravery, talent, commitment and discipline, not in a quick instant but in decades of battle, are able to improve the lives of others."
