Pakistan: Three injured in blast near consulate

KARACHI, Pakistan, July 23 (UPI) -- Three people were injured Monday in Karachi when a bomb fitted on a motorcycle exploded next to the Chinese Consulate, officials in Pakistan said.

Police said the the motorcycle was parked in the Institute of Hotel Management. The bomb was detonated by remote control, the Press Trust of India reported. Officials said the Chinese Consulate was not the target, The Express News said.

At least three people were injured, including a Pakistan Rangers official. A car and up to three motorcycles were destroyed, officials said.

Police were offering a reward for information regarding the blast, The Express News said.
