Bleeding in brain of Thai king gone

BANGKOK, July 23 (UPI) -- Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej has recovered from minor bleeding in his brain, the Royal Household Bureau said.

A scan Sunday found no more traces of bleeding in the outer membrane in the left frontal area of the 66-year-old monarch's brain, MCOT online news reported.

The king also was reported as having a good appetite and sleeping well.

The Royal Household Bureau on July 13 said Bhumibol, the longest reigning monarch in Thailand and the world, experienced twitching in his right hand and an elevated pulse rate. A brain scan revealed a small subdural hematoma. After begin given intravenous medications, his pulse and blood pressure returned to normal and the twitching stopped.
