O.J. Simpson's ex-girlfriend says he threatened her, compared her to Nicole

VATICAN CITY, July 22 (UPI) -- Pope Benedict XVI called the Colorado theater shooting, in which 12 people were killed and 58 were injured, "senseless violence."
Speaking at his weekly Sunday blessing, Benedict said he shared the distress of the families and friends of the victims of the shooting, Vatican Radio reported.
Shortly after midnight Friday, gunman James Holmes opened fire in a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., killing 12 people and injuring 58, police charge.
