PYONGYANG, North Korea, July 21 (UPI) -- North Korea's late leader Kim Jong Il's Japanese sushi chef says he has been invited back to Pyongyang by Kim Jong Un.
"Marshal Kim Jong Un invited me, so I made up my mind to go there," chef Kenji Fujimoto said at the Beijing airport Saturday.
Fujimoto will be in North Korea for about two weeks, Kyodo News reported.
Although he is unsure when he will meet with Kim Jong Un, Fujimoto said he brought a blue fin tuna with him for the new leader of North Korea.
"I heard Mr. Kim Jong Un had always said, 'I want to see Fujimoto,'" he said. "This prompted people around him to start taking action."
Fujimoto was Kim Jong Il's sushi chef from 1989 to 2001; this is his first trip to North Korea in 11 years.
