ISAF member dies in IED explosion

KABUL, Afghanistan, July 18 (UPI) -- A coalition troop died when an improvised explosive device was detonated in eastern Afghanistan Wednesday, the International Security Assistance Force said.

The identity and nationality of the victim was not released in accordance with ISAF policy, the coalition said in a release.

The ISAF did not provide information about the blast.

Also Wednesday, two coalition troops were injured in a helicopter crash in western Afghanistan Wednesday, the ISAF said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.

The ISAF did not indicate where the crash occurred or the nationalities of the service members.
