Afghan official killed in roadside blast

MEHTARLAM, Afghanistan, July 13 (UPI) -- Hanifa Sapi, chief of women's affairs in Afghanistan's Laghman province, and her husband were killed Friday in a roadside bomb explosion, officials said.

Their children were injured in the blast in Mehtarlam city in the province, Khaama Press reported.

No group had taken taken responsibility for the explosion.
