Russia: Bus accident kills 3

IVANOVO, Russia, July 5 (UPI) -- A passenger bus collided with a truck in the Rostov Region of Russia Thursday morning, killing three people, police said.

The accident took place on the Don highway around 3 a.m. Moscow time.

The RIA Novosti news agency reported the bus driver was speeding, and did not see the cement truck in time to stop.

The bus, carrying 13 passengers, was en route from Gelendzhik to Ivanovo. Two of the three passengers killed were children. Police said a number of other passengers were hospitalized but did not specify how many.
