GARDEZ, Afghanistan, June 25 (UPI) -- NATO security forces held a Taliban explosives expert believed to be responsible for many attacks against Afghan and coalition units, military officials said.
The Taliban member led a bomb-attack network and trained insurgents in Afghanistan, the International Security Assistance Force said in a news release.
The man was detained in the Gardez district of Afghanistan's Pakita province, the ISAF said.
Security forces seized a pistol, grenade launcher, rocket-propelled grenades explosives and bomb components from the explosives expert, the release said.
