BAGHDAD, June 22 (UPI) --
Two roadside bombs killed six people and wounded more than 50 and three policemen were shot to death in a separate attack in Baghdad Friday, officials said.
The bombs went off in the main market in al-Husseiniyah, a Shiite-dominated area on Baghdad's northeast outskirts, Middle East Online reported.
The police officers were killed at a police checkpoint at Bayaa in southern Baghdad, an Interior Ministry official said.
Authorities said at least 157 people have been killed in attacks against the Shiite community in the past 10 days.
