LONDON, June 15 (UPI) -- Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, resumed his royal duties Friday, presiding over the Senior Colonels' Conference at Buckingham Palace in London.
The prince, who turned 91 Sunday, a day after he was discharged from a London hospital, was scheduled to appear in public with Queen Elizabeth II Saturday for the Trooping the Color, the official celebration of her birthday, the Daily Express reported.
"The fact he's attending engagements is an indication he is back to himself," a spokeswoman for the royal household said.
Philip was hospitalized with a bladder infection June 4, during the four-day celebration of the queen's Diamond Jubilee.
In addition to chairing the colonel's conference, Philip hosted a dinner for the officers. He is colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
Philip was hospitalized in December during the royal family's Christmas celebration at Sandringham House in Norfolk.
