MEXICO CITY, June 14 (UPI) -- In light of diminished drug violence, Mexican President Felipe Calderon called on the United States to consider alternative strategies in the war on drugs.
Drug-related killings in Mexico dropped 12 percent during the first five months of this year, the first decline in more than eight years.
