TAIPEI, Taiwan, June 13 (UPI) -- A 4.9-magnitude earthquake shook northern Taiwan Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
No casualties were reported as a result of the 4:22 p.m. earthquake, Central News Agency reported.

The earthquake's epicenter was about 17 miles south of Taoyuan County Hall at a depth of about 4 miles, the Central Weather Bureau said.
The strongest tremor was felt in Jhubei City in Hsinchu County.
A 3.4-magnitude earthquake hit in the same area soon after the first.
