Plane crash lands in Ukraine storm, 5 dead

KIEV, Ukraine, June 10 (UPI) -- At least five people were killed Sunday when a skydiving plane made a crash landing in Ukraine, emergency officials said.

The L-410 aircraft was carrying 18 passengers and two crew members when it went down while landing in bad weather near the capital of Kiev, the Emergencies Ministry said.

Russia's RIA Novosti news service said 13 people were hospitalized with various injuries.

The exact cause of the crash was under investigation.
