SANAA, Yemen, June 5 (UPI) -- Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh's health is deteriorating, close aides said Tuesday, adding he would leave Yemen to seek medical care.

The aides told the Aden Times Saleh's health has deteriorated since he collapsed in May at his residence in Sanaa and was rushed to a local hospital.

Saleh, who was seriously injured in a bomb explosion last June, is believed suffering from heart complications, the Daily Event reported.

The Aden Times said Saleh's family is considering transferring him to a hospital in Saudi Arabia.
