ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 31 (UPI) -- Pakistan Thursday test-fired a cruise missile that can deliver nuclear and conventional warheads, the army said.
The Hatf-VIII air-launched missile has range of more than 217 miles, Dawn News reported.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani congratulated the scientists who worked on the missile.
It marked Pakistan's second missile test this week.
The Indo-Asian News Service reported Pakistan Tuesday test-fired a surface-to-surface Hatf IX missile, which has a range of about 27 miles and can carry nuclear warheads.
India and Pakistan have fought three wars since independence from Britain in 1947.
Both countries have nuclear weapons capability.
