ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, May 23 (UPI) -- The Abu Dhabi Federal Criminal Court of First Instance has sentenced 10 pirates to 25 years in prison followed by deportation for hijacking a ship.
Gulf News reported Wednesday the court also ordered the confiscation of all arms and ammunition used in the hijacking. The bulk carrier was loaded with aluminum en route to Jebel Ali from Australia April 1 when it was commandeered.
