ABUJA, Nigeria, May 17 (UPI) -- Security agents in Nigeria have uncovered a major weapons cache that terrorists buried in Kogi state, the government said.
Kogi state's director of security said the bombs and weapons were found by a task force made up of security agents, members of the military and police, the Nigerian Tribune reported Thursday.

State Security Director Mike Fubara said the arsenal included AK-47 assault rifles, pistols, hand grenades, anti-tank improvised explosive devices and ammunition.
Fubara said the items belonged to terrorists and that some arrests had already been made in connection with the discovery.
