KABUL, Afghanistan, May 11 (UPI) -- A man wearing an Afghan National Army uniform turned his weapon against coalition troops in Afghanistan Friday, killing one service member, officials said.

A spokesman for the governor of Kunar province said the shooting occurred in the Ghaziabad district, The New York Times reported.

The Taliban claimed responsibility, the newspaper said.

The Times said the shooting appears to be the 15th such attack so far this year.
