Serbia's war crimes prosecutor, Vladimir Vukcevic, said the Albanians were suspected of war crimes during conflicts in southern Serbia in 2001, B92 reported.
RIA Novosti said a translator from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe may have among the Albanians arrested but that was not confirmed by authorities.
The arrests were made Friday in southern town of Bujanovac and in the villages of Veliki Trnovac and Breznica in Presevo valley, which has a large Albanian population.
