KABUL, Afghanistan, May 1 (UPI) -- Afghan and coalition forces killed 19 militants and wounded three others during operations in Afghanistan, the Interior Ministry said.

The ministry's press office reported the operations Monday netted 822 pounds of narcotics and six types of arms, Bakhtar News Agency reported.

At least four Afghan soldiers were reported injured by roadside bomb explosions in eastern and western Afghanistan, the Afghan Defense Ministry told Khaama Press.
