Motorcyclist posts 185 mph road stunt

VICTORIA, British Columbia, April 18 (UPI) -- Canadian investigators on Vancouver Island are looking for a motorcyclist who posted a YouTube video of a wild ride through traffic at up to 185 mph.

Forensic computer officers outside the British Columbia capital, Victoria, said the person mounted a camera on the front of a blue Yamaha and recorded as he went on a high-speed and very dangerous ride through traffic, darting and weaving between cars, the Victoria Times-Colonist reported.

Police traced the owner of the YouTube account to the fictitious name "Joe Blow," but have had success in tracking down a computer IP address and have found the name of the Internet service provider, police Sgt. Dean Jantzen told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

"I can't find enough adjectives to describe how unacceptable this is," Jantzen said. "This is just, it's so appalling."

He said a public appeal for witnesses or tips as to the biker's identity has yielded some leads.

If police can find who was riding the bike, any number of charges could be filed including street racing, stunt driving or dangerous driving, the reports said.
