DUBLIN, Ireland, April 16 (UPI) -- A Delta airliner made an emergency landing in Ireland Monday after a passenger left a cellphone in one of the jet's restrooms, authorities said.

The crew reported a suspicious device had been found during the flight from Istanbul to New York and touched down in Dublin.

The Irish Times said the Boeing 767-200 was parked in an isolated area of the airport. Police were summoned and questioned the passenger who owned the device, but no arrests were made.

The unattended phone was discovered plugged into the electrical outlet in the lavatory.
