14 dead in China bus crash

ZHONGJIA, China, April 8 (UPI) -- The death toll has risen to 14 in a fatal bus accident in China's Liaoning province, authorities said Sunday.

The accident happened at 5:22 p.m. Saturday when the bus carrying 25 people drove into a ditch on the No. 201 State Highway in Zhongjia village, Xinhua reported.

Eleven injured passengers were taken to the hospital, authorities told Xinhua.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
