ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, April 3 (UPI) -- The 33rd anniversary of the death of former Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is expected to draw large crowds to his burial site, police said.
More than 7,000 police and law enforcement personnel along with a bomb disposal squad were dispatched to the town of Garhi Khuda Baksh in advance of Wednesday's ceremonies, the Pakistani news agency INP reported.
The Pakistan Peoples Party said it expects tens of thousands of party workers and loyalists to pay their respects to the party's founder at the Bhutto family mausoleum.
Several reception camps have been set up to accommodate leaders and workers from all the four provinces, officials said.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was executed in 1979 following a military coup that removed him from power.
The PPP has called his trial unfair and termed his execution judicial murder.
